Armed with a bit of knowledge about what Twitter is all about, share your thoughts on this fast growing online phenomenon.

Well...I really don't see the point. I just don't have the time or the inclination to sit and see what people have to say about what is going on in their lives. Some of the sites that had information I could find else where.

Was the site user-friendly? Did you find it difficult to navigate?
Do you see any practical applications for LibraryThing either at home or at work? Will you start using this site?

Well, I went onto LibraryThing just to have a look and am now addicted. What a wonderful tool to help find authors and titles of books recommended by people who have read the same books that you have!!. It will be good to use at work also to help customers and to be recommended to customers to use. It is really quite easy to use and is easy to navigate. Now I jus have to peel myslef off of it :-)

Do you see yourself using these tools or will you stick to more traditional methods. If you were to use one of these tools regularly, which would it be and why?

I will stick with the more traditional methods. I don't always have a computer up and running so to have a calendar online just doesn't make sense. I can look at a printed calendar alot more easily than starting up a computer. The Google docs may come in handy for templates but I don't need to share any document I type so would have no need fr that...maybe if I was in University. My paper calendar still works when my computer doesn't, what do you loose if your computer crashes?

Comment on the quality, entertainment value, or usefulness of the content on these sites.

You Tube and Flicker are not something I would use on regular basis, however You tube has exteme entertainment value. This I know from experience watching someone go onto it everyday looking for funny videos. They are not always of the highest quality, but... Another experience was when it was used to get ideas for science homework and produced results that ended up with a great project.

Were you able to successfully set up your RSS feed? If not, where did you run into problems? If you were successful, does this make information-gathering more convenient for you?
I managed to set up a RRS feed it wasn't hard to do. It seemed to sign me up for more that i wanted so I had to edit them and remove the ones I was not interested in. I am not sure that I will use this very often but time will tell. The information I got was definately at my fingertips, I didn't have to go seaching it was all right there so maybe I will start to use this.

Well Google definitely has a lot to offer. Google earth can not be downloaded on a staff computer so was not able to do this at work, however have looked at it before and it was wonderful to see places I grew up in.
I went into labs and tried Aardvark... the first question I asked was too short ???!!! I then asked the question "why do questions have to be a certain length?" It liked that question but to get an answer I would have to join Aardvark. Yet another way for your information to be in a computer, will not recomend this.
Google script converter is good (in labs).
